bullet  Ancient Oak Lock, check out the images

go to the beginning of category: Locks - rim locks
A truly ancient quarter sawn English Oak cased rim lock. Heavy figured and entirely hand made with a fully restored and functional wrought iron mechanism. This lock would have originally have had a simple hammer in staple as a keep but we have provided a reclaimed cast iron sanity example. We can make you a staple if you would prefer. We have also provided a working key from our large selection of reclaimed keys. Whilst this lock is in full working order it is very old indeed and we would not recommend it’s use in a high traffic area. The lock has been fed with a clear wax but is otherwise in its original unfinished condition, the Oak dark and hard with age.
