back one page
go to the beginning of category: Letterboxes
A reclaimed iron letterbox and pull handle combined. Well marked to the rear for James Collins. RD number 39646 dates the design to 1887. This letterbox has been converted from weighted flap to sprung flap, the modification can be easily removed if desired. Otherwise in completely original condition with no damage or cracks. The casting is as crisp as the day it was made. The letter opening can be tiny on this style of letterbox but this one is a useful size. Supplied complete with long replacement fixing studs suitable for doors up to 7cm thick. Longer studs can be supplied if required. A fantastic antique in prestige condition.
