bullet  Victorian Brass Keep a door open thing

back one page
go to the beginning of category: Miscellaneous
Not sure what these things are called but they are used to keep a door open. It is in fact a very good quality bronze or pink brass keeping door open thing. Mounted on the door at the bottom of the opening edge with approx 3cm between floor and rubber end. Spring loaded, press down on the round top to secure door, press angled steel plate to release. Ingenious, old, effective, in tested working order. Only really suitable for hard floors. Some surface character but not really that noticeable. Unreasonable requests to polish out character respectfully declined ;-). A good quality thing.
