We bought these the other day. They came out of a building in Glasgow some years ago apparently. One plate represents day, the other night. There are two Rd diamond marks, one to each plate but that are indistinct, our best guess is 3rd Feb 1862/1865. They are very heavy and may be made of pewter or some derivative thereof and that`s about all we know. If you know anything about these and are willing to share then please do get in touch.
