An iron thing, possibly to do with curtains

According to the spouse who knows about such things apparently this is a `tie back`. Tying what back to what I hear you say, well that`s a good question. Curtains apparently. They would have to be some big curtains and some big window. Anyway, whatever they are they are beautifully hand forged and solidly constructed. If you need to tie something to something then this might do the job.
