bullet  Antique Cast Brass Vent, very unusual

back one page
go to the beginning of category: Ornamental
A most unusual, very heavy, solid cast brass wall or ceiling vent. This item has the most ornate vent opening mechanism we have ever seen. See pictures for more details. This item is very well marked to the rear with an RD lozenge for 1881 and the legend Shorland Manchester to the rear. Four cast lugs, one to each side presumably used to secure the vent to a wooden frame. Please note, this item has been cleaned and had the tarnish removed, however the abundant surface marks have been left as found, as these are integral to the items character. Supplied in full working order.
